Shared Services

Over the coming fiscal year, UT Austin will undertake shared services pilots in Administrative Services and Information Technology (IT) leveraging two campus organizations:

  • Central Business Office (CBO) - will provide administrative services (HR, finance, and procurement)
  • Academic Technology Support (ATS) - Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) and Information Technology Services Customer Support Services (ITS CSS) have formed ATS to provide IT end-user support

Academic Technology Support (ATS):

Senior Systems Administrator - Serve as a team lead to a gropu providing systemadministration of departmental servers and storage. Work as part of a project team to evaluate and transition departmental IT services to standard campus IT services.

Systems Administrator II - Linux Systems Administrator - Provide system administration of departmental servers and storage. Work as part of a project team to evaluate and transition departmental IT services to standard campus IT services.

Systems Administrator II - Windows Systems Administrator - Provide system administration of departmental servers and storage. Work as part of a project team to evaluate and transition departmental IT services to standard campus IT services.

Central Business Office (CBO):

Accountant II  - Perform accounting and related transactions involving the recording, examination, analysis, and reporting of financial data for the Central Business Office.

HR Coordinator  (2 positions) - Provide HR administrative and transactional support for clients of the Central Business Office. Manage workload and transaction assignments through service management tracking tool.

Procurement Specialist  - Provide purchasing services to Central Business Office clients. Procure goods and services necessary for operation of the University's teaching, administrative and research functions in accordance with State and University regulations. Resolve procurement problems of a routine nature.
